  • Kobori Bugutsu was established in 1775 and produces premium lacquer wear, gold leafed shrines in Kyoto, Japan, and they work on restoration projects at the imperial palace in Tokyo. We visited their showroom & met with 14th generation owner, who took us on a tour of the work shop… They take quality and perfection as given of course, then add 340 years of integrity. They produce Buddhist bracelets that are carved in chrysanthemum formation, ceramic beads painted by budhhist monks of Kiyomizu-dera temple (built 778) and various mineral beads.
