Furoshiki, a single piece of fabric, have been used for more than 1,000 years. The name might have changed a few times, but the shapes remain almost the same. Furoshiki contain the wisdom and soul of our predecessors. Even with limited land and resources and small housing, the Japanese have continued to live happily because they have not forgotten their gratitude for what they have and have displayed wisdom and creativity in using the necessary amount at the necessary time effectively right to the end. The name 'Musubi' is descended from 'MUSUHI'. The origin of 'Musu' is said to be from the words "birth" or "born", and "Hi" is from "spirit". ‘Musubu (to tie)' also comes from the same origin.
Their purpose is to create a Furoshiki that fits into modern life. We'll continue to explore with an adventurous spirit and our creativity while respecting tradition. We employ various techniques, such as 'Reversible Dyeing,' 'Dual-Pattern Dyeing,' and 'Water-Repellent Processes,' among others, to create the unique compositions of Furoshiki.
