  • Japanese Tea • Genmai (Roasted Brown Rice)

Sourced directly from a 6th generation tea farm in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. Certified organic.

Genmaicha is a blend of green tea and roasted brown rice (genmai). The roasting process gives the rice a popcorn-like aroma and a warm, nutty flavor that balances the grassy notes of the green tea. It is one of the most widely consumed teas in Japan and is lower in caffeine than straight green tea due to the rice content.
