Established in 1897 in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. Futagami originally specialized in brass cast fittings for traditional Buddhist altars. Since 2009, in collaboration with designer Oji Masanori, the company has created a collection of living ware—objects that can be used in everyday life or appreciated as art pieces.
Brass products gradually change color over the years due to oxidation. The longer they are used, the more they develop a subtle and unique luster.
