A wool gabardine jacket and skirt suit from the Yohji Yamamoto Femme AW 1992 runway — and notably, a runway sample, one of a kind. Multi-darted for a precise fit, the suit is finished with tweed trim and a flapped skirt detail that introduces texture and movement. A rare example of Yohji working within the language of tailoring while quietly dismantling its conventions.
Sourced directly from Minori Shironishi, operations manager of the Yohji Yamamoto NYC flagship from 1988–2010. A runway sample — one of the rarest categories of archive piece.
