Handwoven mercerized cotton jacquard shawl in indigo and white with a single flower weave pattern, from northern Thailand and Laos. Soft and tightly woven.
Woven by farming artisan women of northern Thailand and Laos, who weave only during the monsoon season when farming is not possible. Dyes are foraged — indigo against an undyed white ground. The jacquard weave creates a single flower motif woven directly into the cloth.
