Suzani is a form of embroidered textile from Central Asia, traditionally worked by hand with silk or cotton thread on a cotton or silk base. The Gujarat tradition brings its own regional vocabulary of motifs and color. Here, Suzani embroidery is applied to a lightweight cotton ground, combining two distinct handcraft traditions.
