  • Japanese Tea • Matcha Powder

Sourced directly from a 6th generation tea farm in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. Certified organic. Ceremonial grade.

Ceremonial grade matcha is made from the youngest tea leaves, shade-grown for several weeks before harvest to increase chlorophyll and L-theanine content. The leaves are stone-ground into a fine powder. This grade is intended for drinking as a whisked tea, not for culinary use.

Shizuoka is one of Japan's primary matcha-producing regions, known for its mineral-rich soil and temperate climate.

    How to Prepare

    • Sift 1/4–1/2 tsp into a bowl
    • Add 60–80ml water at 70–80°C (158–176°F) — never boiling
    • Whisk in a W or M motion until frothy
