  • Japanese Tea • Sencha

Sourced directly from a 6th generation tea farm in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. Certified organic.

Sencha is the most widely consumed green tea in Japan, accounting for the majority of the country's tea production. The leaves are steamed shortly after harvest to halt oxidation, then rolled and dried. Shizuoka sencha is known for its balance of umami, mild astringency, and a clean, grassy finish. This is a standard hot-brew sencha, distinct from the cold brew variety.

    • Steep time: 1–2 minutes
