Founded in 2005 by Jane Hendler and her husband Rex, AJNE is a natural perfume house based in Carmel, California.
AJNE began with a small organic farm and a dedicated perfume showroom, founded on a commitment to creating fragrances entirely from plant-derived ingredients. Over the past two decades, Jane and Rex have developed AJNE into a respected natural perfumery with thousands of loyal clients.
Jane personally formulates and blends her fragrances using botanical materials, including essential oils and plant extracts, without synthetic ingredients. Her approach is based on the complexity of natural materials and the way individual botanical notes interact to create depth and character.
Natural perfumery has a long history, predating the widespread use of synthetic fragrance compounds in the late 19th century. Working exclusively with botanical ingredients requires an understanding of the individual materials, their characteristics and how they develop together in a finished fragrance.
AJNE's collection includes personal perfumes, essential oil blends, body oils and environmental fragrances for the home. Her work has attracted a dedicated following, including prestigious hotels, spas and clients in the film and music industries.

We've carried AJNE for years, and Jane's Gallery Blend environmental fragrance continues to be one of our most popular products, along with our bamboo charcoal and hemp oil soap made by @by.tide.
What has always impressed me about Jane's fragrances is their depth and complexity. I've encountered many natural fragrances over the years, but have yet to find anything comparable to her blends.
