Textile Art
Hand-loomed scarves and shawls woven in Laos and Northern Thailand using traditional techniques passed down through generations of farming communities.
Materials: mercerized cotton with foraged natural dyes sourced from the surrounding landscape. Each piece is woven during the monsoon season, when agricultural work pauses and the looms come out.
This is a disappearing craft. The weavers are predominantly older women; few younger people are continuing the tradition. Each piece is a direct product of that knowledge and that time.
